Whether you are a potential client or a photographer, the fact you are here reading means you are interested in my work. Dear friend, I am so honored to have your attention, so let me take just a moment and tell you a little about myself… first and foremost, I am a child of the One true King and give all the credit to Him for allowing me to walk this journey (although, if I’m being honest most of the time I’m doing cartwheels and not walking). I am married to an amazing man who forever holds the key to my heart! I am also a mother of two girls and two boys who enrich my life in immeasurable ways. My oldest daughter, Makenzie, recently joined me in my business and is now an official photographer and my new business partner!
I grew up in a small town in South Carolina where the sweet tea never ran dry and a million “bless your hearts” were spoken. One day, I decided to move across the country and four weeks later I found myself unpacking in a condo in San Diego, CA. I will never forget the profound words my Daddy spoke to me just days before I flew out. As I was beginning a new chapter in my life, he told me not to “lose” myself and as much as he didn’t want me to leave, he gave me the freedom to fly. His love, courage and example to me have largely impacted who I am today… and if he were still here, I would hold his worn hands in mine, look into his loving blue eyes and heartily exclaim, Daddy, I found myself!
Today, I live in Atlanta, GA with my family and I am a full-time wedding & Senior photographer. For as long as I can remember I’ve had a love affair with photography, but I didn’t begin my business until 2011 and have pursued it with gusto ever since. I have the incredible privilege of working with the most amazing clients who I also consider to be sweet friends!! What began as a fascination with creating beautiful art has evolved into something much, much greater… the relationships I have gained through this experience give more meaning to what I do than any click of the shutter or any carefully curated image ever could. I am so humbled and grateful to use this platform for showcasing my work, but even more so for the opportunity to share knowledge and love on others. THAT is what it’s really all about.
